Stoneface Trail Video Guide
In this video, we visit the Stoneface Trail in the Fall. Stoneface is located around Eagle Mountain in the Shawnee National Forest, and while we love visiting when it’s covered in snow more than any other time, visiting during fall colors was pretty nice, too.
What You’ll See in this Video
There are a lot of neat things you’ll see in this video, including:
- Beautiful fall colors from amazing scenic overlooks
- A face-shaped rock formation looking out towards the Shawnee Forest Country
- Tall bluffage, natural shelters, and a beautiful Shawnee National Forest
Quick Facts About this Hike
- Trail Name: Stoneface Trail
- Distance: 1.4-mile out-and-back
- Time: 1 hour
- Difficulty: Moderately Difficult
- Parking: Google Maps Link
Pro Tip for the Stoneface Trail
After you park, when you get to the Stoneface sign, go left. The right trail leads to the bottom of the bluff, but does technically go up without rock scrambling off-trail. Stoneface is not a loop. You go left, out and back.
