Pro Tip for Hiking One Horse Gap
Be cautious when hiking this area in the summer. Venomous timber rattlesnake and copperhead occur here. This area is often used by horseback riders. If you see them, share the trail, yield to them, and talk to them. This shows the horse that you’re not a threat and prevents them from freaking out and putting the rider and you in danger.
